>....it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round..if we were all the same it would be a boring place...<
Geordie Dobson, former owner of the Keno City Hotel and present owner of the Keno Cafe, as well as the famous  Keno "bottle house" . (He built out of 32.000 (empty!) beer bottles, before recycling was introduced to solve a bar-owner's problem in an active mining area...)
A sailor from Scotland who anchored in Keno City more than half a century ago. He sailed around the world several times, but when he came to Keno he decided that this is the place he was looking for.....
In 1952, while on his way back home to England, he met a few people in a Vancouver bar, talking about a silver mine in the North. Silver was the magical word and so he decided to join the men and travel the 2000 miles north to work in the silver mines. And like so many others, who planned on staying "just for a few months..." he is still around.
